Itinerary :

Day 1: Christchurch: Welcome to the island nation of New Zealand! You will arrive at Christchurch, the city that set between the deep blue Pacific Ocean and the mighty snow-capped Southern Alps. This is a vibrant, ever-changing city with inner city parks and gardens delightfully interwoven by the meandering Avon River. Collect your rental vehicle and self drive to hotel & check-in. Enjoy admission to the International Antarctic Centre today or tomorrow for an icy insight into this astounding continent. Rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore this vibrant city on your own. Overnight in Christchurch.

Day 2: Christchurch – Tekapo/Mt Cook Region: Today depart from Christchurch to a scenic wonderland with golden tussocks, snow-capped mountains and turquoise lakes. At Lake Tekapo lap up the fresh air and sparling skies in this International Dark Sky Reserve. Enjoy Dark Sky Experience [Thur – Mon only] which will forever change the way you see the night sky. Overnight in Tekapo or Mt Cook Region.

Day 3: Tekapo/Mt Cook Region – Queenstown: Today you will come across the dramatic vast landscape of a rugged land of ice and rock that showcases multiple giant peaks including New Zealand’s highest mountain. Followed by the stunning Lake Pukaki shoreline as you make your way to Queenstown via the historic Central Otago region. Overnight in Queenstown.

Day 4: Queenstown: A free day to explore the endless optional attractions available. Queenstown offers bungy jumping, jetboating, white water rafting, gondola rides and much more. Overnight in Queenstown.

Day 5: Queenstown – Milford – Queenstown: Today’s breathtaking drive passes mirror lakes, magnificent waterfalls, and water-sculpted rocks. Explore Milford Sound, a New Zealand treasure carved by ice age glaciers that is famously described as the eighth wonder of the world. On arrival, board your vessel for a cruise of the fiord surrounded by towering mountains and cliffs that plunge into the sea. Feel the refreshing spray of a waterfall as you cruise close to sheer rock faces before returning to shore. Lunch is Included. Return to downtown Queenstown. Overnight in Queenstown. (L)

Day 6: Queenstown: Your tour concludes today with the return of your rental car to Queenstown Airport.
