Norway in a Nutshell

Itinerary :

DAY 1: OSLO: Arrive at Oslo‘s International Airport, transfer to your hotel (on your own). You can take the express train to Oslo Central Station or can arrange a private taxi. After check in, you will then have the rest of the day to explore at your own leisure. Overnight stay in Oslo

DAY 2: OSLO: After breakfast, today proceed for Oslo Panorama tour on this 3 hour city tour you’ll see Oslo’s top attractions such as Holmenkollen Ski Jump and Vigeland Sculpture Park, even if you are short on time. Start with a panoramic sightseeing admiring the City Hall, Akershus Castle and Fortress, the Opera House, the Royal Palace, while learning about the city’s history from your enthusiastic guide. Then, continue to the stunning Holmenkollen Ski Jump, a symbol of Oslo, offering great opportunities for amazing city views (weather permitting) and conclude with a guided walking tour through the famous Vigeland Park, ogling granite and bronze sculptures realized by Norway’s most famous sculptor, Gustav Vigeland. Rest of the day at your own leisure. Overnight stay in Oslo (B)

DAY 3: NORWAY IN A NUTSHELL (OSLO – FLAM): After breakfast, get an early start and head to Oslo Central Station (on your own), where you’ll begin the Norway in a Nutshell railway journey towards Bergen, with an overnight stop in Flåm. This train ride takes you over Norway’s “mountainous rooftops”, through charming villages like Geilo. In Myrdal, you’ll switch trains to the famous Flam Railway (Flamsbana) for an incredible ride to the beautiful village of Flam. Enjoy a relaxing day in Flam, where you can follow one of the many hiking trails in the mountains around the village. Overnight stay in Flam (B)

DAY 4: NORWAY IN A NUTSHELL (FLAM – BERGEN): After breakfast, spend the early part of the day at leisure, either relaxing at the hotel or taking a walk along the fjord. Afternoon, you’ll board a boat to sail through Aurlandsfjord into the World Heritage-listed Nærøyfjord, the narrowest fjord in all of Europe. This is perhaps the most beautiful arm of Sognefjord, with its mighty waterfalls and small farms clinging to the steep mountainsides. The boat docks in Gudvangen, from where you’ll be transported by bus to Voss to board the train for the last stretch of the journey to Bergen. Overnight stay in Bergen (B)

DAY 5: BERGEN: After breakfast, today proceed City Sightseeing Hop-On Hop-Off tour and explore Norway’s second-largest city at your own pace. With 13 stops around the city center, the route passes all the big Bergen sights such as Bergen Aquarium and Frederiksberg Fortress. Discover UNESCO neighborhoods such as Bryggen, and learn about the city from onboard audio commentary. Overnight stay in Bergen (B)

DAY 6: BERGEN (Departure) OR HARDANGERFJORD IN A NUTSHELL (BERGEN – ULVIK) : After breakfast, it’s time for your trip to come to an end, transfer to Bergen International Airport (at your own). OR Continue your tour combining Hardangerfjord in a Nutshell to your itinerary, Explore the colorful and majestic Hardangerfjord – Travel effortlessly and comfortably by boat, fjord cruise, bus, and train, and experience everything the Hardangerfjord is known for. Today late evening approx by 8 PM you will arrive at Ulvik stay overnight in the charming fjord village of Ulvik, beautifully situated by the fjord and a perfect place to enjoy splendid nature and local cultural experiences. DAY 7: HARDANGERFJORD IN A NUTSHELL (ULVIK – OSLO): After breakfast, today at leisure till you continue your Hardangerfjord in a Nutshell tour to Oslo. Late evening you will reach Oslo for your overnight stay. (B)

DAY 8: OSLO: After breakfast, it’s time for your trip to come to an end, transfer to Oslo International Airport (at your own). (B)
