Day 1: Cape Town: On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to the V&A Waterfront and to Cape Town’s largest shopping centre – Canal Walk. Overnight in Cape Town.
Day 2: Cape Town: Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will be taken on a half day private guided tour of Cape Town, including a trip up Table Mountain in the aerial cableway. The afternoon will be at your own leisure, with time for optional activities. Overnight in Cape Town. (B)
Day 3: Cape Town: After breakfast, enjoy a full day private guided tour of the beautiful Cape Peninsula. Cape Town is frequently acknowledged and awarded as being one of the world’s most beautiful places – this tour will show you why! Experience the spectacular natural splendor and abundance of life of the Cape Peninsula. With scenic views to take your breath away and photo opportunities galore this trip also takes you through part of a World Heritage Site – the Cape Floral Kingdom. Overnight in Cape Town. (B)
Day 4: Cape Town – Oudtshoorn: After breakfast, you will depart Cape Town and travel via the famous Route 62 to Oudtshoorn, known as the Ostrich Capital of the World. On arrival in Oudthoorn you can enjoy the afternoon and evening at your own leisure. Overnight in Oudtshoorn. (B)
Day 5: Oudtshoorn – Knysna: Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will enjoy a full day experiencing the highlight attractions of Oudtshoorn, before travelling over the spectacular Outeniqua Mountain Pass and onto the lovely Garden Route, to your home for the next few days in Knysna. Cross the Oteniqua Mountains and head to Oudtshoorn for an unforgettable Klein Karoo experience. Visit the Cango Caves, the regions iconic attraction and some of the most spectacular dripstone caverns in the country. The tours are led by knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides who will teach you about the formation of the caverns and how they got names like the ‘Devil’s Workshop and the Chimney’. Visitors hoping to catch a glimpse of the world’s largest bird will not be disappointed, as ostriches are a common sight in the area. Take an ostrich tour and get up close to these magnificent creatures. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about ostriches and ostrich farming in the region. You’ll even get a chance to feed them. A visit to the Cango Wildlife Ranch is also included, where you will learn more about the animals here and the centre’s conservation efforts. Overnight in Knysna. (B)
Day 6: Knysna: After breakfast, you will enjoy a visit to the Tsitsikamma National Park and take park in a forest walk along boardwalks to a few swing bridges over the Storms River Mouth. In the evening enjoy a sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon aboard the famous John Benn. Overnight in Knysna. (B)
Day 7: Knysna – Lamai Safari, Greater Kruger: This morning you will have an early transfer to George Airport for your flight to Johannesburg (Not Included) and connecting flight to Hoedspruit (Not Included), where you will be met and transferred to your lodge in the Maseke-Balule Game Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger. After time to freshen up in your rooms you will be taken on your first afternoon game drive to search for the Big Five. Dinner will be back at the lodge. Overnight in Lamai Safari, Greater Kruger.(B, D)
Day 8: Lamai Safari, Greater Kruger: An early start for your morning game drive, returning to the lodge in time for breakfast, or you will have a picnic brunch overlooking the Oliphants River. Lunch will be back at the lodge, followed by some time for rest and relaxation before your afternoon game drive. Overnight in Lamai Safari, Greater Kruger.(B, L, D)
Day 9: Lamai Safari, Greater Kruger – Johannesburg: Morning game drive (time depending), followed by breakfast and transfer to Hoedspruit Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg (Not Included). Your hotel is located at the Emperor’s Palace complex which offers a wide range of dining and entertainment options. Overnight in Johannesburg.(B)
Day 10: Johannesburg: After breakfast, take the hotel shuttle service to OR Tambo Airport for your departure flight.(B)
