Itinerary :
Day 1: Christchurch: Welcome to the island nation of New Zealand! You will arrive at Christchurch, the city that set between the deep blue Pacific Ocean and the mighty snow-capped Southern Alps. This is a vibrant, ever-changing city with inner city parks and gardens delightfully interwoven by the meandering Avon River. Transfer to your hotel and check-in. Rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore this vibrant city on your own. Overnight in Christchurch.
Day 2: Christchurch – Lake Tekapo – Mt Cook: Depart Christchurch and, embark on a scenic journey of the the impressive Canterbury plains farmland. Continue through some impressive alpine passes and enjoy the stunning views of the famous blue lakes of Lake Tekapo. Stop at the popular Church of the Good Shepherd, before heading on to a vast landscape of ice and rock that surrounds Aoraki Mt Cook. Overnight in Mt Cook Region.
Day 3: Mt Cook – Queenstown: Depart Mt Cook Village framed by the dramatic backdrop of Aoraki Mt Cook and the Southern Alps travelling alongside with stunning views of Lake Pukaki, one of the bluest lakes you will ever see. Travel through the tawny tussock high country, passing the fruit and wine growing region Cromwell and the stunning Kawarau Gorge before arriving in Queenstown. Overnight in Queenstown.
Day 4: Queenstown: A free day to explore the magnificent vistas and majestic mountains that dominates this compact alpine resort town, with such an expansive natural physical environment it is not surprising that Queenstown has been described as the Adventure Capital of the World. Overnight in Queenstown
Day 5: Queenstown – Milford – Queenstown: Today’s breathtaking drive passes mirror lakes, magnificent waterfalls, and water-sculpted rocks. Explore Milford Sound, a New Zealand treasure carved by ice age glaciers and is famously described as the eighth wonder of the world. Return to downtown Queenstown. Overnight in Queenstown. (L)
Day 6: Queenstown-Christchurch: This morning depart Queenstown, and pass through the stunning Kawarau Gorge, a fruit and wine growing region of Cromwell, followed by the beautiful Lake Dunstan and through the dramatic Lindis Pass. Travel through the vast plains of the Mackenzie district alongside magnificent turquoise blue lake framed by Aoraki Mt Cook and the spectacular Southern Alps. Make a short stop at Mt Cook Village before returning to Christchurch. Overnight in Christchurch.
Day 7: Christchurch: Your tour concludes today with a departure transfer to Christchurch Airport for your flight to next destination.
